    Or is it like Snapchat where there’s actually no record kept.

    I’m more concerned at what the president is privately saying using his favorite third party apps.

  3. In the Signalgate lawsuit, Judge Boasberg issues an Order to preserve all Signal communications between March 11 and March 15.

    Judge Boasberg says “Don’t worry, I’ll put in writing” … A reference to the White House position on verbal court orders.

  4. When they were being interviewed and they “didn’t recall” why didn’t any one ask. “Do you still have the messages? “ if they deleted follow up “Why did you delete ? “

  5. Remember when the Secret Service wiped all their phones after J6? No repercussions, so why would these people follow that order? People need to start going to jail/prison soon or it’s going to keep escalating.

  9. This was always the bigger issue for me: they were trying to evade the law by using signal.

    This should be a massive red flag.

    There is a chasm between “official acts that should be kept secret” and “the boys plans for bombing brown people and fucking the Europeans over”

    It smacks of frat boys talking about who they are going to drug at the house party.

  11. Why just between March 11 and March 15? They’ve definitely been using Signal all along for classified conversations.

    Imagine the signal conversation before and after the skit Vance and Trump performed infront of Zelensky. Probably had Putin in there too.

  15. When the reporter asked Cheeto face about the signal chats he visibly freaked out. He relaxed when the reporter had to explain WHICH exact chat they were talking about. Trump and his team 100% have more malicious illegal chat conversations they’re hiding from the checks and balances.

    Just like when Georgian Governor Kemp was the election supervisor in his own election, and then destroyed the hard drives despite a court order.

    Just like when the Secret Service deleted all their text messages around Jan 6th.

    We stopped holding people accountable to court orders some time ago. At least, if those people are powerful Republicans.

    These guys no longer care about the other branches of government. The only “law” they care about is the one from the White House.

  20. I want to know how many more such group chats and messages between the higher-ups there are out there. The chance that this is a one-off that just happened to accidently get to a reporter is incredibly unlikely. I’m scared of what is out there that we are unaware of.

  27. They will be preserved in the same way that Trump’s security was ordered to preserve their J6 texts. Yet their phones were entirely erased due some ‘software upgrade’ and the FBI who specialise in retrieving erased data, could not recover anything. Apparently.

  29. So is anyone submitting FOIA requests (that will be ignored or delayed) for any reference to the use of Signal in official correspondence since 20 Jan?

    I’d really like them to try to deny its use.

  32. Not just this Signal chat, but all of them need to be maintained. They should be forbidden from setting auto deletes, or better yet, use a system that is already recorded.
