  4. The patriotism towards our national anthem has been virtue signaling for decades. It’s become being 3 beers deep and picking a fight with some teenager for not removing his hat.

  14. I’m ashamed of my nation and its people, and the biggest reason isn’t Trump and his awful actions. The biggest reason is that ~70 million people voted for him AFTER they witnessed his cruelty, disrespect, criminal activity, and stupidity for four years. We are the worst nation in the world.

    RATHER than booing the anthem, we should be chanting TRUMP SUCKS for its entirety. That way, the blame is clear. It would also hurt his feelings.

Their head basically explodes when they find out I am veteran,  as is my husband, my dad, and my mom… from southwest Virginia…. I won’t stand for the flag until all Americans are seen as equals so here we are.

    I’m starting to see American flags being taken down where I live. Not near enough but hopefully it’s a start. The flag fetish was weird before we went full fascist, now it’s just ridiculous.

    There’s a very very small chance that the U.S. learns a lesson from all of this. Maybe all the ultra patriotic drivel stops and people finally recognize just how close flag humping is to full blown nationalism.

    That’s a pipe dream though. The unprecedented levels of stupidity here all but guarantees things will only get worse. Nothing short of a complete collapse will stop this train of idiots.
