1. >“Why don’t they let us in,” he said. “Because there’s stuff there they don’t want us to see. Beginning after those Hamas attacks on 7 October, they took us into the border communities. I was in Kfar Aza when there was still fighting going on inside it. They had only just started taking out the bodies of the dead Israelis. Why did they let us in there? Because they wanted us to see it.

   It’s like the Ag Gag laws we have in the US: they know people would find the imagery horrific, so they try to suppress reporting rather than be less monstrous.

   In this case, though, the genocide is being livestreamed. If you have an internet connection you have no excuse for not knowing what’s going on.

2. They worked so hard to kill the journalists who are already there and they sure as hell don’t that work undone. By white journalists no less, you can’t kill them without huge repercussions.

3. That’s a pretty big admission from Bowen given how prominent he is as a mainstream journalist and for the BBC. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is mysteriously absent from the BBC for awhile or takes off the Israel Gaza coverage and replaced by someone else.
