It seems that our leaders are trapped in a complex web of politics. The western provinces have felt marginalized and powerless, often facing what feels like taxation without representation.

   For far too long, the concerns of the west have been overlooked, leaving the region with little say in choosing a Prime Minister or influencing federal legislation. The federal government's manipulation of the Senate, replacing its original duty to safeguard the rights and freedoms of Canadians, raises serious questions about accountability. Instead, we see a Senate that often prioritizes party fundraising over the protection of our rights.

   The treatment of figures like Duffy illustrates the lengths to which the government will go to divert attention from corruption within its ranks. Many senators appear disconnected from their role in upholding the rights and freedoms of Canadians.

   It's time for the western provinces to strongly consider their future, and perhaps even pursue the status of the 51st state, to reclaim a voice that seems to be increasingly drowned out in this flawed system. Canada needs change, and the west deserves to be heard.

14. The US intentions for Canada, are not dissimilar to those of Russian about Ukraine. Canada has a very large Ukrainian population, who are a big part of the fabric of this country. We stand for Ukraine, (and any other country who believes in human rights and democracy). While Trump means to cozy up to Putin then we have to stand against any attempts of annexation by the US.
