Elon Musk, a billionaire and President Donald Trump’s top adviser, will visit the Central Intelligence Agency on Monday to discuss government efficiency with director John Ratcliffe, a spokeswoman said on Friday.

“Director Ratcliffe has invited Elon Musk to meet with him at the agency to discuss government efficiency,” a CIA spokeswoman told Politico.

This revelation came days after the New York Times published a piece claiming Musk would receive confidential briefings on China’s war preparations at the Defence Department, which Trump and others later disputed.

Musk criticised the piece as “pure propaganda” and called for legal action against anyone who leaked the material.

The New York Times is pure propaganda.

Also, I look forward to the prosecutions of those at the Pentagon who are leaking maliciously false information to NYT.

They will be found. pic.twitter.com/xANvLMOH5j

The CIA has sacked a number of recent workers as part of the Trump administration’s major government labour reductions, which are managed by Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.

Musk recently paid a visit to the Department of Defence, where his companies have several contracts, to speak with Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The New York Times stated that Musk will be briefed at the Defence Department on China’s secret war plans, which Trump and others rejected.  Musk described the story as “pure propaganda” and demanded legal action against the leakers.
