I’ve very confused with the Accepted 2.0 and Timing Issue
I understand this is data, but it is not beautiful. That must have felt harsh, it looks tragic.
Where did you find most of your responses coming from? Did it seem like networking had a meaningful impact on your response rate?
It’s fucking bullshit that ghosting is now the norm in job and internship hunting. I can’t imagine sending out 78 apps for an internship. In 2009-2010, I applied for internships for two summers, and I sent out 3-5 apps and heard back from every one of them. It’s ridiculous that it’s typical to not hear from over 50% of applications.
