I remember watching a video of him crossing Red Square on May Day when there there was a loud drumbeat behind him. He turned around like he’d been shot because he clearly thought his time had come.

  35. This isn’t something new. The FSB exists to protect the Kremlin from all threats, internal and external. The biggest threat to the Kremlin is its own army. You need to understand the fundamental differences/problems within the Russian army to western countries.

    Full of corruption, internal violence, poor discipline and leadership. Any unit leader that does his job too well and gains the respect of his soldiers is seen as a threat and removed. Allegiance to an officer is where a coup begins and the Kremlin know it.

    The FSB make no secret of it. If you ( the army ) do anything stupid we’re here to stop you.
