What are these yokes actually used for?

1. Traffic count survey

2. Probably speed as well as frequency.

3. They count the number of cars traveling down the road. Traffic analysis.

4. They are pressure activated, they count when both lines are pressed. They can distinguish between direction of vehicles.

   That’s basically all they do

9. I guess it’s 2 lines so that you can measure speed, rather than just count numbers. I wonder if that also differentiates unicycles and 18 wheelers
