Expressed deepest gratitude to Belgium for its support, as it was one of the first countries to provide us with defense assistance. This is a historic moment, a historical gratitude. More than 30,000 Ukrainians who have fled their homes due to the war have already been warmly welcomed by Belgians.

30,000 refugees taken in so far. Compared to Britain only taking in just over 2,000 I think that’s pretty amazing for such a small country. But we do need to cut Russian ships and diamonds out of Antwerp, that’s just embarrassing.
Thank you Belgium. The some for all the people that are taking these people into their homes. It isn’t a small thing. Into your home is personal, and it comes at great risk.
It is humbling, it is enlightening, it is restorative in that with all the political bullshit that people are still just people.
