That slowclap from Van Langenhove was beyond pathetic.

Bold statement
First Battle of Ypres (19 October – 22 November 1914). More than **250,000 casualties.**
Second Battle of Ypres (22 April – 15 May 1915). Around **100,000 casualties.**
Battle of Passchendaele (31 July – 10 November 1917) also known as the Third Battle of Ypres. **400,000 to 800,000 casualties.**
Battle of the Lys (1918) (9–29 April 1918) also known as the Battle of Estaires or the Fourth Battle of Ypres. Around **200,000 casualties.**
Fifth Battle of Ypres (28 September – 2 October 1918) an informal name given to a series of battles in northern France and southern Belgium, also known as Advance of Flanders and Battle of the Peaks of Flanders. Around **10,000 Allied casualties; German casualties unknown.**
Anyone else reading some really weird subtitles under that first segment?
I was wondering which military event of our history he was going to pick. I guess Ypres is a good choice.
Hm, I wonder who is opposed to ending the import of Russian draw diamonds.
What a surprise, it’s Theo Francken.
Nince soundbyte but it reeks of manipulation.
Zelensky, if he aspires to become part of EU or Nato, should learn to think like a team player.
Instead of trying to morally blackmail his team mates to do his bidding, he should have thought of the implications of his actions on every member of the team he wanted to join.
Trying to push EU and NATO member states’ buttons by delivering tailor made speeches rubs me the wrong way. We’re not that cheap.
I don’t give a fuck about diamonds but if my power bill goes up any higher I’ll be a working poor and that is not what I worked all those years for. And, sadly, yes, hospitals bombed 2000 km away from me are less important to me than me losing my home and/or job either by a gas embargo or a bomb on my workplace. I can’t eat or inhabit moral superiority.
edit: thanks for the downvotes, must be nice to have such good wifi in your moms’ basements.
The Belgian diamond industry is dead anyways though. There is cutting edge technology in other countries that delivers better diamond cuts and does so way faster than we ever could.
Look, the man is a legend and Ukraine deserves a massive victory with all the help it could/should get.
Bottom line is, if we push the wrong diplomatic buttons, nukes will rain down everywhere and humankind as a whole ends in a nuclear winter. That’s a pretty big bottom line…
