Columbia Gas says they will need to enter each impacted home to perform a safety check and relight appliances before service can be restored.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Close to 1000 people in south Toledo were without natural gas on Saturday night, according to Columbia Gas of Ohio.
In a post on social media around 7:45 p.m., Columbia Gas said service was out for about 950 customers in the Heatherdowns-Glendale and South Byrne Road area due to reduced pressure on one of their systems.
Columbia Gas says crews would be working into the night to restore service.
According to Columbia Gas, the restoration process takes three steps.
Columbia Gas says they are still investigating the cause of the outage.
Anyone with critical needs is asked to reach out to Columbia Gas at 1-800-344-4077.
