Romania decides to continue military support for Ukraine

Romania’s Supreme Council for National Defense (CSAT) decided at a meeting on Friday to continue military support for Ukraine.

This was reported by Romania Journal referring to a press release from the Romanian presidential administration, it learned. Ukrinform.

It is noted that this was the first CSAT meeting after Ilie Bolojan took office as acting president of Romania in February.

The Council meeting analyzed developments in Russia’s illegal and unprovoked war against Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the situation on the ground, as well as the stage and prospects of negotiations for a settlement, the statement said, reports KosovaPress.

Romania welcomed the outcome of the recent ceasefire talks in Riyadh and the US efforts in this regard, “as a first step towards reaching a peace agreement.”
