The delivery includes multiple Marins M3 inertial navigation systems (INS) and shock-mount protection systems, essential for Finland’s new Pohjanmaa-class corvettes.

This delivery marks a significant milestone in modernising the Finnish Navy’s fleet, enhancing its operational effectiveness in the strategically vital Baltic Sea region. The Marins M3 systems will equip the corvettes with cutting-edge navigation technology, ensuring precise positioning and orientation even in environments where GNSS signals may be disrupted. Each corvette will be fitted with Marins M3 and Phins systems, creating a uniquely redundant inertial architecture that maximises reliability and resilience, essential for complex naval operations. The shock-mounted protection further ensures these systems withstand high-impact shocks, maintaining uninterrupted performance under demanding conditions.

“We are proud to have reached this milestone with the successful delivery of our advanced navigation systems to the Finnish Navy” said Régis Blomme, Sales Director at Exail. “This achievement underscores our commitment to supporting critical defence programs and highlights our ability to meet the stringent demands of modern naval operations. Our systems are engineered to deliver unparalleled accuracy and reliability, allowing the Finnish Navy to operate with confidence in any environment.”

The Squadron 2020 program, which involves the construction of four Pohjanmaa-class multi-role corvettes, represents a transformative upgrade for Finland’s naval defense. With Exail’s advanced navigation solutions onboard, these vessels will play a crucial role in securing Finland’s maritime interests and reinforcing regional stability.

This success further reinforces Exail’s growing presence in the naval sector worldwide, solidifying the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in advanced defence technologies.
