China captured two of the team titles while Japan, Spain and the U.S. divided the remaining three at the EnBW DTB Pokal Team Challenge and Mixed Cup that ended Sunday in Stuttgart.

Team winners were China in the junior men’s and junior women’s events, Japan in the senior men’s event, Spain in the senior women’s event and the U.S. in the Mixed Cup event.

In the senior all-around rankings, Japan’s Kaya Kazuma and Canada’s Gabrielle Black topped the men’s and women’s standings, respectively.

The 28-year old Kaya claimed bronze on pommel horse and team silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and won team gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He was a member of the gold medal-winning Japanese team at the 2015 World Championships in Glasgow and the 2023 Worlds in Antwerp. Kaya took bronze on parallel bars at the 2019 Worlds in Stuttgart and silver on pommel horse at the 2021 Worlds in Kitakyushu, and placed sixth all-around at both the 2018 and 2019 Worlds.

Black, 17, placed second all-around last month’s Elite Canada competition and was a member of the gold medal-winning Canadian team at the International Gymnix competition in Montreal earlier this month. She was sixth all-around at the 2024 Canadian Championships.

Following team events held Thursday through Saturday, the competition concluded with apparatus finals on Sunday.

Senior women’s apparatus champions were Black on vault, Rose Woo of Canada on uneven bars, Nina Derwael of Belgium on balance beam and Yali Shoshani of Israel on floor exercise.

Derwael, the 2020 Olympic champion and two-time world champion on uneven bars, took bronze on that apparatus.

Junior women’s apparatus champions were Madita Mayr of Germany on vault, Jie Guying of China on uneven bars, Yu Wenjing of China on balance beam and Qin Ziyue of China on floor exercise.

Senior men’s apparatus champions were Artem Dolgopyat of Israel on floor exercise, Zeinolla Idrissov of Kazakhstan on pommel horse, Tanigawa Wataru of Japan on still rings and vault, Tsumogai Tomoharu of Japan on parallel bars and Yumin Abbadini of Italy on horizontal bar.
