> “I was on social media for a while, and then during the pandemic, it was such a scary time,” he recalls. “Also, there was an election going on during that time. It was just so much chaos, and negativity just in the air, but also specifically online, a lot of confusion and vitriol.”
> The upheaval amid the pandemic led Park to “suddenly” start having panic attacks. He shares, “I had never gotten panic attacks before, but I just kept getting them one after another after another. It was very concerning to me.”
> After receiving “the right help” following the episodes, he made the decision to “just get off of social media because I felt like, ‘Oh, I don’t think it’s helping me, helping with my perspective on the world, and my just mental health.’”
Social Media is a toxic wasteland. If I was a celebrity, I’d use it for promotional purposes only.
I got rid of Facebook, instagram and twitter 2 years ago and that alone improved my mental health leaps and bounds.

Social media is a cancer in society and I will be glad when it’s gone.
I dabble on Reddit and will log into Facebook a couple of times a week just to see if I have any legit notifications. Other than that I stay out of it. I found myself getting depressed from seeing former friends updates on Facebook, so I unfriended them. Made a point to take all socials off my phone, and monitor my screen time. It’s been about 4 years since I’ve done that and my mental health has improved. Granted I think I’ll be depressed until the end of my life, but better is better and I have to do what I need to for the things I have control over. This resonates with me. I think more people need to see that light.
Not having social media is amazing. Makes catch ups with friends so much more authentic. Actually hearing about what they’ve been up to vs. seeing random snippets of their lives in real time is SO much more meaningful.
Saw him on Kelly Clarkson and he was so funny, especially in reaction the the bit where Yakima, Washington claimed it Randall Park day at one of their parks, which is coincidentally called Randall Park.
Watched him on Blockbuster and just thought he was great, good for him doing what’s best for him
Panic attacks are weak and used to be something you grew out of at age 3.
I wasn’t aware that Jim had panic attacks 🤔
Sorry to hear that brother
Those are rookie numbers
