  1. Donald Trump has said he is [“very angry” at Vladimir Putin](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/trump-iran-bombed-never-before-agree-nuclear-deal-3614206?ico=in-line_link) over comments about Ukraine’s leadership, threatening new tariffs on Russia if it doesn’t agree to a peace deal.

Putin had called for a transitional government to be imposed in [Ukraine](https://inews.co.uk/topic/ukraine?srsltid=AfmBOoqZJY1zSUQ8ATxfXyi8htHECsHAzhVwSCavhxPnPbyy4m0nJHx6&ico=in-line_link), which would likely see Volodymyr Zelensky pushed out – something Trump said was “not going in the right direction”.

The US President warned that he was “p***** off”, threatening to impose secondary tariffs on all Russian oil exports if it is unable to make a deal to “stop bloodshed in Ukraine”.

As [peace talks continue between the US and Russia](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/best-worst-outcomes-ukraine-trump-peace-deal-3577751?ico=in-line_link), what does Trump’s fury mean for negotiations – and for the relationship between two of the most powerful men in the world?

  2. Trump says a lot of things depending on which side of truth social he got up that day

  3. No he’s not. This is an attempt to distance him from his master. Similar to when Putin endorsed Kamala. It’s easy to identify for someone of average intelligence or higher.

  4. This article says trump is threatening tariffs.

If trump is looking for leverage, tariffs are a pretty weak tool compared to the sanctions that the previous administration applied and which he has previously argued should be removed.

  5. I genuinely think trump believed that he could have stopped the war because of his somewhat positive relationship with Putin during his first term because he’s that stupid

  6. Apparently… I’ve only ever heard him rip Zelensky publicly and only ever lauds Putin. This kid of speculation always ends up leading to false hope

  7. Ah ok. So Trump is quite happy with how things are going with Putin and he’ll do bugger-all to get things moving.

    Got it.

  8. Probably they are playing a part, I think that they are behaving in this way to make Zekensky accept the agreement on minerals for US and on free navigation in the black sea for Putin. Shitty people are, both of them.

  9. Because he’s being made to look stupid, which he is. Because as it turns out, geopolitics takes capability and talent. At a bare minimum, you should at least be able to point out where certain countries are on a map, or – perhaps even seek the advice of diplomats have working experience and understanding of the political complexities of Eastern Europe, rather than some meathead you’ve put in charge just because they parrot the MAGA party line.

He is talentless, hopeless. And I sincerely hope every single person that voted him is happy with themselves as he is pulling the US to pieces.

  10. Why would you cencor the word pissed? It’s not a curse word, nor are you in any obligation to censor any text on Reddit or is this just an AI post?

  11. It pretend, the sooner you realize that Trump is just trying to act out or emulate what he sees in tv shows and movies the better you will understand how to deal with him… he makes these states to “look tough” on the television and in the media. Behind closed doors he gives into to whatever the stronger person wants from him.

  12. I’m convinced Trump has “misjudged the nature of the relationship” between himself and Putin but I’m not convinced he knows that yet. This could be just “OK, I did everything he wanted me to do so now when is he going to throw me a bone?”

  13. This is the BIGGEST deal that Trump will ever make. His legacy will depend on it. Will he let Putin pull him around by his nose? Time will tell. He has a chance for a Nobel Peace Prize – will he blow it?

  14. “Do you think they’ll believe it, daddy?”
