Science Exchange, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of life sciences procurement and supplier management SaaS solutions, acquired HappiLabs, a Chicago, IL-based software and services company specializing in scientific procurement support.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will support Science Exchange’s ability to serve biotech and pharmaceutical companies by enhancing procurement expertise and expanding access to purchasing insights. HappiLabs will continue operating as part of Science Exchange, with its entire team remaining in place to ensure continuity for current customers.

Its flagship Virtual Lab Manager (VLM) offering provides hands-on support with purchasing, budgeting, negotiation, product research, and supplier management—empowering scientists to focus on what they do best: the science.

Led by Elizabeth Iorns, CEO, Science Exchange is a provider of a purchasing and supplier orchestration platform for life sciences companies. Whether using its network of 3,800 suppliers with established contracts or syncing existing ones, an intake process enables scientists to purchase the services and products they need while workflows and integrations guide them through approvals and compliance requirements.
