Where are the vacant homes? Most holiday homes are unsuitable because they’re in very rural areas. Considering our housing crisis, I’m very surprised there are so many houses (between 5000 – 6000) lying empty.
We had 10k homeless before this refugee crisis.
Nothing against the Ukrainian refugees, they deserve all the help they can get.
But, how are the Government in a position to provide so much housing to them almost overnight and yet they haven’t been able to do sweet fuck all to help our own homeless?
What about the 10,000 homeless people?
Goes to show that the housing crisis has been a choice that the government choose to exasperate, so many solutions are being found now currently, but prior they’re was no solution bar the slow ability to build. Fucking cowboys Ted
Why the fuck weren’t people in need of social housing given it so before this crisis? Why weren’t developers/hedges made sell the houses?

So… ummmm. What about the homeless people or people who can’t afford homes who have been in Ireland for years waiting? Ummmm how can I get on this list? Should I travel to Ukraine and fly back with an asylum application?
