Doesn’t look good. Helicopter was up over my flat in Greenwich (I assume as the tide was coming in) for over an hour.
Headed out toward the airport now but there’s a lot more boat traffic heading up river than there was earlier.
The Thames is no joke indeed. I’m glad there’s been less incidents of people jumping in for “fun.” They really don’t understand how stronge the currents are under the surface and how quickly they can pull you to the point where you don’t know which way is up. Plus, you can’t see shit under there.
Hope this little girl’s body is found. If this happened at 1pm, she must have been with her school, so some people will have to answer. God be with the family.
Wishing much strength to the family. My heart sank reading this knowing she had zero chance. May her body be found and laid to rest quickly.
Absolutely sad. Hoping her parents find a way through this.

Needs to be more public awareness about the danger of the river. It’s absolutely not safe to play nearby.
