Just opened my electric Ireland bill, and mine doesn’t even have day night listed, just says general under untit type.
So assume whatever the plan is it’s fixed rate for day night, which would make sense if they don’t offer diff tarrif, but then why include that on your bill then.
As them bills are a bit useless like you can read price for 1kw and get rough idea on costs but when they add five different taxes vat charges etc, just balls as them charges add up like 30% of the cost not eletricity usage itself.
What do you run after 11pm (in winter)? Are you turning your immersion on? Using your dishwasher, washing machine, or tumble dryer?
Seems unlikely but maybe if you aren’t actively looking for ways to use electricity at night it’s just about possible that the meter reading is accurate and you didn’t use any electricity overnight during February.
Not all plans have night rates. If you’re no longer under contract then switch
So it says you provided a Meter reading, did you ?
If you did, did you provide a day and night reading?
Your not going to be out of pocket in the long term anyway, provide another reading and it will even up on the next bill if there is a mistake.
One other thought – go check your meter now. It’s another month later, if your reading hasn’t moved on since the number in the bill then maybe you are lucky and your meter is just broken enough to give you free electricity…..
Same happened to me. Night meter broker and everything went through the day meter.
