  1. As a Kenyan living in Kitengela featured in this news story, I see lots of Congolese and Burundians here. I am a little worried about Kenyans losing job opportunities to other nationalities. I wish the government could attract more large-scale investors who can create jobs for thousands, so our worries ay be contained.

  2. Some politicians hijacked Gen Z protest and wanted to overturn the government …I am glad it failed and Kenya remains peaceful even raila odinga saw that

  3. Kenya is peaceful in the middle of unstable countries south Sudan , Sudan , Somalia (president was almost deleted )..Kenyans protect your peaceful country and solve things diplomatically

  4. Having a million dollars in a country at war is useless …I like the way Kenya has never had major war that displaces millions since independence ..Kenya is a safe heaven of East Africa

  5. The statement by the lawyer is inaccurate though: that they never used to receive calls before last year.

Burundians, Congolese, Nigerians, Rwandans, Ugandans, and others have been coming to Kenya for years now.

  6. This unchecked immigration will be an issue. I'm all for people looking for a better life but all Africans can't cobble up in Kenya and South Africa. Those two countries can't carry the burden of Africa.

  7. Sudan became how it is now after the government was taken out by youngsters saying they need a new government , now they are all dispersed in different countries

  8. Kenya we needlessly have a mammoth of man made issues. Governance, joblessness and unchecked population explosion. Just to mention but a few.
Unchecked mass migration will fuel resentment.
It's true there's anger brewing already.
If this migration isn't controlled, it's just a question of when not if violence will flair up.

  9. Is Kenya the only African country that’s stable with strong economy? We have Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Rwanda, Burkina Faso etc that also fit the same description yet the whole of Eastern and Central Africans are flooding into Kenya! In Africa, the burden of immigrants and refugees is mostly carried by SA and kenya coz we have a bunch of African countries whose citizens care less about staying in their own countries and fighting for better governance but only interested in moving to neighboring countries where the situation is perceived to be much better!

  10. Doesnt matter, the economy is strong as you proclaim, bt at what cost? Ordinary kenyans are suffering, no jobs, hefty taxes..its a mess and the current president? Won't be re-elected. This is 100% sure

  11. An onset of civil war in Juba could get bloody. Influx of refugees for the surrounding countries, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia should help quell this tensions diplomatically, otherwise if they are also militarily not ready to accept the refugees, it will hurt the economies of these nations, at a time we don't need one, especially from people who don't want to let go of power. This small boom should not deter us from the reality that the markets are volatile in these uncertain times.

    Its a warning from UN.

  12. There are so many Congolese in Nairobi it's really crazy. I think in 10 years Kenya's population will be really heterogeneous, no tribes any longer which is good, more like France or the US, that diversity will force politicians to focus on policies

  13. Stop spreading a narrative wout inclusivity, the economy is doing well but the working class is suffering, GDP per Capita should be of more concern since it's inclusive of the working class 🤌 but i understand your ragebaiting for monetary gain

  14. Africa should promote nationalism. Each country to fix their own problems. This is getting out of hand & no ID’s without vetting is just st***id!

  15. These are the sorts of reports your country gets when your president is in love with the West and acts in their interest first and foremost.

  16. The problem is the misleaders we have make the country good for others n not for the priority of kenyans. Very bad way of looking at things

  17. As a Kenyan, I welcome my brothers and sisters from the Great Lakes region. I have met many Burundians here at my hometown of Karatina. They are really good in business and also have MPesa pay services.
I think it's heaven for them!
Where is Kenya on the immigration issue? Lmk
