This is the comment I submitted to YLE, and I posting this here just because I want someone other than a random moderator at YLE to read it.
"Here's a really not very radical idea at all that absolutely none of the parties in the current government coalition will ever agree to because they are insipid cowards.
Instead of cutting the funding for YLE and thus forcing YLE to make/produce less content, increase the funding, year on year, and mandate that YLE must produce more content, especially news content, in more languages. And not just the headlines or the "national" stories either.
Fund YLE to a level that allows them to write and disseminate real local news in multiple languages. Because the reason people don't vote is because they are uniformed about the situation in their local area.
Of course you can feel free to demand that every single person must learn Finnish and/or Swedish to a level that allows them to follow such news in this languages, but in case you haven't noticed, it's not 1925 anymore.
Oh, and if for some reason this comment doesn't make it past the moderators, maybe one of you could contact me, your system knows who I am after all, and tell me what was so wrong with this comment."
