Not surprised, the energy and utility companies are absolutely having our pants down.
It’s not all Labour’s fault – this country has been mismanaged for the better part of 2 decades and we continue to foot the bill.
The issue is though that these surveys always seem to find the most disillusioned and if someone came up to me and asked me if I was happy, I’d probably find something to not be happy with.

Things have marginally improved today, the Sun came out.
Well, the US had almost double our score, and even Ukraine beat us with a significant point difference in this “report”. Maybe it’s time we make our move and move to the US or Ukraine.
Honestly you were warned about Brexit but did it anyway.

From sky high crime that the police do nothing about, unaffordable homes, abysmal public transport *and* the war on cars, I’m not surprised people are miserable.

I left back in 2008 because it was shit and intended to return when things got better.
And then I just slowly became more and more Canadian.
High taxes, crappy living conditions, horrendous public transport and over all terrible infrastructure. UK is like a third world country at this point.

Honestly, in my experience it seems like it’s largely a choice. Some people have every right to be miserable, but most people are just miserable because the only way that they communicate is via complaining about things. They convince themselves that their life is shit.

Can’t be true surely – there’s 30+ countries at war at the moment or dealing with insurgencies. And theres at least 50 countries with a score of less than 60 on the global food security index.
