  1. Brazilians institutions are strong, resisted against this attempt of coup d'etat and will send this crook behind bars. We brazilians strongly support the Supreme Court. Justice will be done.

  2. Even if he gets convicted, he could still be president again. Just look at Lula. This feels like fairly standard South American politics. It might be enough to keep him out of the next election though.

  3. What an outrageous reporting from this 'reporter', spreading misinformation and covering atrocious disrespect to human rights taking place right now with hundreds of individuals involved in the disturbance of Jan8th.

We are seeing the unfolding of unjustice and the actual coup detat by the supreme court before our eyes.

There is absolutely NO evidence of any attempted coup dEtat in Brazil. Bolsonaro was in the US and the military strongly in Lula's hands when the disorder took place in Brasilia.

Moreover, Bolsonaro had posted public videos condemning any violent or illegal acts weeks before this happpened.

Now, remember, 8 out of 11 supreme court justices were appointed by Lula and his party, including his own personal lawyer last year, who just a year before had sued Bolsonaro. What outcome do you expect??

    When injustice prevails, everybody suffers.

  4. We as a country are very happy with this decision. He is a wanna-be dictator, a failed one, an enemy of the Brazilian democracy.

  5. Bolsonaro has been a threat to democracy since his rise to power. He mixed politics with the military, attempting to dismantle Brazilian democracy day by day, appointing generals to positions. His dream was to be a king… In Brazil's history, we have never had a left-wing dictatorship, but we have had many right-wing ones… There are also people on the left who sympathize with Latin American dictatorships here, but in Brazil, this is not a possibility because the military does not support left-wing extremism in any way. The problem is that some parts of the military support right-wing extremism, like the Bolsonaro family… One of Bolsonaro's supporters tried to blow up a fuel truck out of anger over the election results. Bolsonaro has said that the Brazilian dictatorship should have killed like Pinochet in 1999 and has threatened institutions every day, treating them as an obstacle to his government, as if he were elected to rule alone like an absolute monarch. He and those who tried to make him an absolute monarch must pay for what they have done.

  6. Weird… This comment section makes you think that there is nothing wrong with what's happening and people full support this even with everything wrong going on. You guys really know your audience huh
