  2. My hot take – there were only of the 2 of the Netflix shows I liked enough to watch all the way through and his was one of them. That and Daredevil. JJ and LC bored me to the point where I didn’t even finish a season.

  4. Rewatching the original Daredevil seasons before jumping in to the new one. Hit the Defenders timeline (pretty integral between season 2 and 3).

    Every time the Iron Fist was talking on screen was cringe. Fighting: fine, action: decent, speaking:painful. How many times can I hear “you killed my parents and I will have my revenge/vengeance”
    Perhaps it was a writing issue (I dont recall watching the stand alone Iron Fist season(s) but it was bad enough in Defenders I have zero interest in seeing him return.

  13. I’ll be honest. I just don’t see him as Danny Rand. He’s not… idk, cool enough? Rand has aura. And I just don’t get an aura vibe from this guy. Maybe it’s just how terrible he was written, but he just seemed too stupid and not in control in the show.

  14. Would love to see him come back, but only if it also meant Jessica Henwick returning too. Any time they were on screen together I felt like the chemistry projected out of the screen. More so than any other pairing in the Netvel showings I just believed their relationship the most so would love to see more of that.

  21. He just doesn’t look good fighting, honestly. No problem with his acting. He was already given a chance; he was lead of his own show!

  23. In Defenders he seemed a lot more comfortable and confident in the character. I wouldn’t mind seeing him come back.

  25. Part of the problem is that Season 1 of Daredevil and Jessica Jones were each so stellar that Iron Fist suffers by comparison, making a middling show look much worse than it was.

  27. I don’t get why he was cast in the first place. It’s not like there’s a shortage of white guys with his look who are also trained in martial arts and trying to get acting gigs.

    The only thing that was as wooden as his action scenes were his acting scenes.

  31. I actually loved him as Iron Fist and enjoyed the two seasons. I honestly wish he would come back. Got to meet him once and he was very friendly and passionate. Got to fist bump the iron fist, so dope. There’s so much potential here.

  35. I hate this character so much that I’d be willing to give it a chance. It can’t be worse than it already is, right?

    I WANT to be impressed or to get something from this character. Because I’m getting spoilt trust fund cultural appropriator… and I feel like there’s different ways to make this compelling, but we got stuck with just not an inspiring character lol
