A little bit of Poland in Australia. Our lady of Czestochowa church and war memorial, Marayong, New South Wales. Heaps of Poles live in western Sydney and we love you guys. Even though you all cringe when we pronounce Mt Kosciusko, or the Strzelecki desert, or Magda Szubański wrong 😂

I really really want to hear an Aussie try to pronounce Częstochowa
>come to ‘Stralia
>find it’s tallest mountain
>give it a name that is unpronounceable to the locals
>refuse to elaborate
>leave

Don’t forget. Many Rats of Tobruk came here after the war, and funny enough the first Pole here was a prisoner of the British
Much nicer than the one we have in Victoria
Every other Polish child after watching Steve Irwin on animal planet: “I’ll go to Australia and wrestle crocodiles”
I still wanna go there only because I watched so many nature programs growing up
Little known fact – the rear slopes are shallow enough that dumb teenagers can climb up high and sneakily enjoy a stolen case of beer and cigars as their parents celebrate polish new years in the hall.
Source – what do you think 😉
