The fact that millions of Biden’s voters chose to stay home in 2024 has made me question for the first time whether the majority of Americans want to live in a multicultural/pluralistic democratic society.
Right now, as much as I’d like to see Obama v Trump settled in the polls in 2028, I’m skeptical that the majority of Americans will choose a multicultural/pluralistic democratic society.
Maybe the 2026 midterms will prove me wrong, and renew my hope. But, until then, I think that the Democrats need to nominate some old white dude to have a chance in 2028.
I definitely wouldn’t be upset if he was our president. I think we do need to factor in age when we vote. We can’t have a whole bunch of fucking old people running the country

1. Obama has been on record that even if he could run again, he would not. I think he said that Michelle would leave him if he did.
2. The proposed method of allowing Trump to have a 3rd term would only allow Trump to do so, and no other living President (it states that you only hit your term limit if the second term was immediately after the first)

He’ll get a third term, but only if you had 2 non consecutive ones, so he wouldn’t have to face Obama. Silly people, they make the rules now, and we can’t do shit til the mid-terms short of open rebellion. And I don’t like our chances against our military when we rely on the leaders to follow the constitution and not the orange man in power.
