  1. Seth Meyers’ longtime writer and recurring guest, Amber Ruffin, offered the White House Correspondents’ Association a scathing rebuke after they canceled her for refusing to roast both sides at their annual dinner in her *Late Night* appearance on Monday night.

    “I just want to take a moment to say I’m a big fan of Amber Ruffin, and I would have loved to hear what she had to say,” Meyers said in his monologue.

  7. I can’t say at all that I’m surprised they canceled her. She called the Trump administration all murderers who aren’t human beings lol. I love her for that but at the same time I can’t exactly be shocked she lost the White House correspondents gig after that.

  10. How far in advance did they book her? Because last time Trump was in the white house the dinner was reconfigured because the big old baby has thin skin. They should have seen this coming.

  12. If she was going to do a good natured set that was funny but not actually critical and insulting of the president like past presidents have experienced, then she probably wouldn’t have been cancelled.

    His lifetime peak moment at the dinner already passed as he as a non politician at the the time was absolutely humiliated on camera while in attendance.

    It is now an iconic WH correspondents dinner because soon after his humiliating treatment he decided to enter politics, starting at the absolute highest level and was elected President twice over Obama’s passionate beliefs he had no chance of ever being president of the United States.

    Drop the microphone and never go back.

  15. Amber is great. I remember during Black Lives Matter, she shared some personal incidents about racial discrimination and scary interactions with police. A lot of famous people came forth with these, and it makes me sad and angry the severity with which the current admin is erasing Blacks from history and in our present culture. Sheer craziness.
