  1. Sources say he had a mobile phone in hand with a mean tweet cued up ready to post

  2. In before mindless speculation and raging at strawmen.

  3. >Police say they do not believe there is any further risk to the public.

    Well, yeah, they killed him.

  4. I told him not to start a Facebook thread criticising his children’s school. He wouldn’t listen.

  6. I work next door and saw the whole incident unfold.

    Hope the officer is okay.

  7. In situations such as this the Jean Charles de Menezes killing is always worth bearing in mind.

Involved police with firearms and was also in an extremely fluid environment.

Just to give one pause for thought before presuming anything.

  8. He got off the train at Milton Keynes, they did him a favour.

  9. Hope the officers and innocent members of the public are ok

  10. Past this around 14:40 Plenty of police. The bus stops were closed.

  11. Good on the police, maybe people will think twice before carrying weapons. More officers (or most) should carry firearms, like in the rest of Europe (& the world).

  12. Maybe it was a toy gun as an April Fools Day joke that went wrong….and a bit late

  13. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt over the past few years is that I need to hear all the facts before I give my opinion
