The representative for the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Claude, will be a judge on the Dutch edition of The Voice Kids.

Ahead of his performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in May for the Netherlands, Claude has been named as one of four jurors when The Voice Kids returns in the Netherlands in 2026. In a post shared on Claude’s Instagram account, he says:

“When I was 14 I auditioned for The Voice Kids… now I can take a seat in the red chair myself! Full circle moment! Really looking forward to this adventure.”

You can see Claude perform his entry “C’est la vie” in the 13th slot of the first Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on Tuesday, 13 May in Basel, Switzerland.

Who is Claude?

In 2019, at the age sixteen, Claude stepped into the spotlight as a contestant on the eighth season of The Voice Kids, where his journey ended just before the liveshows. Undeterred, he returned to the stage the following year, winning the talent show Are You Next. Later, he secured a record deal with label Cloud 9.

The Netherlands debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has gone on to compete in all but four contests. The Netherlands has won the contest on five occasions; 1957, 1959, 1969, 1975 and most recently 2019. Prior to Duncan Laurence’s victory in Tel Aviv, the Netherlands had been waiting 44 years for their next victory. Duncan Laurence won the contest in Tel Aviv with the song “Arcade”.
