A medical student at KUL university has been found guilty of rape and is not receiving an effective sentence! This is due to his ‘future career as a gynecologist and his favorable personality’.
Incidents like these happen too often, not just in Leuven, but e-ve-ry-where. Prevention is key; a reporting and prevention center, where anyone can turn in cases of transgressive behavior, like in Spain, can help. Sexual violence must finally be taken seriously!

Do things like this happen often? I mean there’s one case, where the judge made a reasoned ruling, and this is the response?
Die snotneus zijn ganse leven gaan verknallen vind ik persoonlijk vergaand en weinig productief, maar daarmee ben ik in de minderheid, dat heb ik ook wel door.
Absoluut niet met de bedoeling dit soort gedrag goed te praten, eerder met de vraag wat proportioneel is bij zijn misdaad. Het is me ook niet helemaal duidelijk wat er daar exact gebeurd is om eerlijk te zijn.
