Fantastic day to put out some washing! blazing sun and super windy. Took a moment after putting it out to admire my work obviously, only for this to happen. One of those days.

Your dog looks impressed.
Nice doggo.
I don’t quite get what’s happened to your pole. Has someone jammed a ground spike in it upside down or something?
To be fair mate, how the hell did you not spot the base of the pole was rusted to fuck?! Methinks the dog may have a lot to answer for there. If they’ve been peeing up it then it could’ve added to the corrosion.
This is why lines that stretch across the garden are far superior.
Part of the reason I never line dry, even though I have a (small) garden big enough.
Main reason being outside the two weeks of the year we have weather like we’re having now, you never know if it’s going to rain.
Plus bird shit, stuff falling off the line, it rusting and falling over, the usual stuff.
My wife moaned as though it was her own laundry!
Pup is not angry, just….disappointed 🙁
Ah well, at least you can mow your lawn while you’re waiting for a fix.
Who on earth fitted that rotary? The spiky end of the ground spike is supposed to go into the ground, not jammed into the line pole.
Put a pole inside the pole and put the pole back over that pole.
Something similar happened to me a few years ago, i overloaded my washing line because i was excited with the weather, and it snapped dropping all of my clean clothes to the ground. With a heavy sigh I retraced my steps picking it all back up again. What can you do 😂
