  1. > Despite initial confusion, officials insist that all aircraft are accounted for on paper and that the inability to physically see them is not necessarily a problem. “This actually aligns with the intended operational profile,” a defence analyst told UK Defence Journal. *“If you can’t find them, that’s kind of the point.”*

    lol.

  2. This was right under the HMS Prince Andrew on my news feed. Best laugh of the day for me. Well done UK Defence Journal.

  3. Oh, sure, ***now*** he’s just a little boy stealing little toys. But some day, he’ll be a grown man stealing stadiums and F35 jets.

  4. Someone discovered the stolen Romulan cloaking device again?

  5. How can you lose a fighter, it’s not a set of car keys now is it?

  6. Sorry! You left them sitting out, I didn’t think you needed them.

  7. April Fools has been and gone.

You’re the fool for carrying on.

  8. *They’re not a pair of fucking car keys, Turkish, where’ve they gone??*

  9. Just like a petulant child, Trump has gone home in a huff and took his ball (sorry F-35 jets) with him..

  10. I wonder how many reactions this will get on certain signal chats before they read the whole article.

  11. The “by-line” on that article is something of a giveaway too.

The best part, however, is at the end of the article:

    >*The purpose of this article, aside from our usual April Fool’s Day joke, is to make the point that reading beyond the headline should be the norm every day, not just on the 1st of April. There’s a large volume of misinformation online. Make sure you don’t add to it by sharing articles without reading them. Finally, be careful of the person sharing this article after the 1st of April as they very clearly don’t read what they share.*

I wonder how many people didn’t actually read far enough to get to that part…?

  12. This is a training problem.

When the pilot has finished his shift he needs to disengage stealth mode. It’s not hard. It’s a toggle switch under the primary instrument cluster.

  13. Have you tried down the back of the sofa?, found my wife’s boyfriend’s wallet there.

  14. Are they hidden like the DVLA car tax adverts? Hidden under a pile of sticks.

  15. Can you imagine if Trump just pressed the recall button and all their Jets headed back to the US.

  16. > This isn’t the first time the aircraft’s advanced low-observable coating has raised questions. In 2022, a similar incident during a training exercise led to a jet being “lost” for nearly 40 minutes—only to be discovered precisely where it was parked, under a tarpaulin labelled “not an F-35.”

It’s a miracle they found it
