  20. I sent him some money, and called my two senators to call on them to organize the democrats to : 1) have one democrat every week to follow Senator Booker’s example-keep this up and 2) replace Chuck Schumer as minority leader.

    He spoke directly to the radical Republicans, the Democrats, the Trump regime and every other American citizen about what’s going on in this country. May he replenish his health at the nearest site of grace soon.

  40. It’s a protest—and yes, largely symbolic, maybe even performative. This isn’t a filibuster as there’s no specific bill being argued on the floor.

    But what it is—or at least what Cory intends—is a way to bring attention to the points he’s making over these 24+ record-breaking hours. Go beyond thinking, “But nobody’s watching,” and consider the social and traditional media pick-up. The fact that you know about this feat, him, and maybe even a sliver of what he’s arguing now—when you and others might not have otherwise—that matters.
