  1. No drum kits

    No amplifiers

No bands – duos allowed, maybe even a trio provided they don’t use amplifiers or drums

There you go, I just solved it.

  2. Ok and the preachers with microphones?

Why do I need someone to tell me I’m going to hell when I’m just trying to get on the tube.

  3. Busking is shit and every last one of them can fuck right off

  4. >Westminster council said it would “continue seeking a balance between minimising nuisance to our residents and businesses whilst ensuring performers can continue to add to the vibrant heritage of street entertainment in Westminster that has been loved by many for decades”.

If they’ve been “wholly ineffective” at dealing with it so far, according to the article, then how likely is that?

    >The council said it had prosecuted seven people for 21 separate offences since September last year, and that it “regularly seized equipment from unlicensed buskers, including in and around Leicester Square”.

So many of them don’t even perform legally?! Living near there must be hell.

  5. Not a big fan of busking and would like to see an end to it in most places.

I would also love to see a full ban on those idiots shouting religious nonsense outside tube stations and along high streets.

Regardless which religion BTW. I don’t discriminate. I just don’t want that kind of aggressive, toxic nonsense in public places. Around some stations it is so loud that you have to cover your ears to pass, and there have been times where their preaching has been so aggressive that it has created a hostile environment where people passing by have looked genuinely shocked and uncomfortable. If you’re scaring people you’re not really succeeding in making them want to follow your lead.

Public spaces are shared, we need to all be able to exist in them without feeling harassed. And every adult human being should be capable of using a public space without behaving in a way that intrudes in other people’s ability to use the same space.

  6. I have to cover my ears when i pass them, especially in the tube where the sound reverberates.

    Allow buskers, but ban amplifiers.

  7. God forbid theres a bit of a noise in a global city
