Senate Democrats are demanding Energy Secretary Chris Wright provide a list of at-risk funding for clean energy initiatives, as the Trump administration continues to eye cost cuts across the government.
The request comes as President Donald Trump touts a “drill, baby, drill” agenda to increase fossil fuel energy production. While Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum have said they favor using all available energy sources, Democrats are concerned about the administration’s across-the-board reviews and rescissions of funds already appropriated during the Biden era for a range of climate programs, clean energy projects, and environment justice initiatives.
