    Yeah, it’s the externalization of costs.

    I can’t even. I hope that the ranchers setting fire to the forests accidentally set fire to the oil infrastructure. That’s it, that’s the kind of hope I have left.

  2. The world is over if the Amazon is cut down any further. Game over for the planet. The West should wh paying money to Brazil under the condition that it stops cutting anything down and instead regrows the forest.

  3. Last two climate conferences were in Qatar and Azerbaijan. Next one in Brazil. They may as well have the one after that in Houston. 

  4. “Well looks like it’s about time to destroy one of the few remaining (and already threatened) vestiges of wilderness for petroleum and shareholder value”.
