Fuck trump,

I love a Micky D but I will personally avoid it until Trump removed these tariffs.

We should be following Canada’s path and boycott American products.

I’ll just have to kill my body through other methods instead of American fast food, like Scottish Whisky, or overdosing on haggis.

  1. Why buy EU? The same people who are acting like Trump and demanding we give them rights to fish Scottish and UK waters more and also demanding we drop sea wildlife reserves and demanding we drop the ban on sea trawling so they can continue to wipe out sea stocks and destroy the ocean environment just to gave the pleasure of defending them with our nukes and military?

EU are not really acting much better than Trump on certain things.

  2. Giving up American products seems easy at first. Stop drinking Coke? Irn-Bru exists. Ditch Starbucks? Local coffee shops are better anyway. Fast food places like McDs? Plenty of other options.

But then you get to tech. Try avoiding Apple, Microsoft, Google, AND Amazon. No iPhones, no Windows, no Google search, no YouTube, no AWS-powered services (which is supporting half the internet). Pretty difficult to avoid all of that.

But yeah fuck that orange orangutan and his moronic policies. At least we finally have a brexit benefit — much lower tariffs than the EU are facing.

  3. It depends on the costs of things after this. I don’t give a fuck to be honest with you.

    (But I’d drive a 90’s Lada before driving/owning a Tesla)

  4. As long as I live , I will never comprehend how an elderly man with learning difficulties and the temperament of a toddler with ADHD with the intellectual capacity of a Tesco meal deal ever found himself in the position he does .

It says far more about the American electorate than it does him .

  5. Bankrupting us was how England came to absorb us

And we cannae let it happen to us again

  6. I hope countries will strike back. A country cannot win by manipulating others. Trump is not the king of the world.

  7. Are there EU platforms I can feel superior and be obnoxious on?

  8. I would rather be poorer and have closer links to the EU than be seen to be receiving special treatment from the US.

Once again, it’s embarrassing to be British.

  9. As an American who loves Scotland, and is lukewarm to Trump and not a fan of the tariffs right now due to economic instability here, I find it strange how so many are up in arms. The UK has a 10% tariff on US goods, and now there is a reciprocal tariff of 10% which seems fair. The EU has a 39% tariff on US goods, and this will raise a 20% tariff on EU which is considerably less. In general, he’s not doing anything that is grossly unfair, it’s just economically stupid.

  10. But they’re call “reciprocal” tarrifs… He’s taxing what other countries have been taxing America. That’s literally what reciprocal tarrifs mean. Kinda hypocritical to demand tax but not wanna give them back.

  11. Can’t you read? EU puts a 39% trade imbalance on US goods. Fucking wankers.

  12. So weird to single out Scotland here.

OP do you not recommend buying goods from the r/UK

  13. May his dildo of consequences be lubed with Gorilla Glue.

  14. It’s remarkably idiotic to turn economic relationship between Western countries into some kind of jihad. UK has tariffs, US has tariffs, the best way would be to remove all tariffs between all countries but to get on an American social media resource and have a hysterical fit calling for boycotts over something that an average person in both countries will barely notice is odd, to say the least.

  15. Don’t buy Bourbon, just stick to Japanese whisky 👊

  16. Boycott all US back companies.
The eu will look at us as traitors and have already stated that U.K. defence companies are unlikely to benefit from their massive spending, I wouldn’t be shocked if the EU puts U.K. on a 10% tariff just to make a point
