im not bulgarian myself, but I felt inspired by bulgarian traditional clothing. I think it's beautiful. I tried doing a bit of research and decided to come here to ask if it the research paid off and if it came out accurate. I'm making sure because I don't want to offend anyone on accident. I find bulgarian culture quite interesting. ignore how the sketch is still a little messy 😅

    I am just a Bulgarian guy… Hope that helps/s

  2. It looks epic 😀
I’m glad people are taking interest in our culture!!

  3. You may need to work more on the symbols the shevitsa and the elbetica

  4. Looks good, without colour in not 100% sure which parts are which.

The woven pattern on the apron should start directly under the belt as this piece of fabric is covered in pattern and is tied at the waist. Though this makes the buckle shape less noticeable with line art.

The traditional shoes are more pointed as they are closed with a centre seam, however modern style shoes as drawn are often worn with traditional dress.

Pulling the skirt isn’t a normal part of traditional dances like one might see in Spain, the emphasis is often on intricate footwork and as such the skirts are not as wide at the hem as other cultures, to show the feet. Often dances are done in groups, with the dancers forming a chain. If you find yourself at the end of a chain, or on your own, a handkerchief is normally held and waved as part of the dance (for women, less so for men who use their cummerbund to rest their hand and show their broad shoulders).
