What a weird collection of Republicans to do this, but I’ll take it for the pushback, and the win. >I’m assuming Maine is pissed at the hands being thrown because the Governor is standing up to President Trump. Paul Rand is probably feeling the hellfire of a hundred bourbon distilleries, and Mitch McConnell?

  4. Canadian here. The tariffs weren’t the biggest issue that caused Canadian consumers to stop buying and travelling the US. The whole threat to our sovereignty is what made people angry. But I’m glad congress is sticking to the rules of the free trade agreement that Trump signed his first presidency.

  5. Well it’s a step, but remember…. This still needs to pass the House, then this goes up to Don Cheeto for veto, which I assume he will. Then you’ll need 2/3 majority to overturn the veto.

    This ain’t happening.

  6. Fuck all four of them. Their votes are barely symbolic since they know it won’t get past the president’s desk..
    All four have voted in lock step with Trump on everything until this. Rand,McConnell, and Collins can be sure of a special place in hell, while at least Murkowski has been butting heads with Musk and MAGA lately.

  10. This does not redeem any of those Republicans, since that’s a line up of the ones who enabled trump in the first place, but it’s a good start.

  11. Bruh, the Senate is starting to develop a backbone, and the tesla board is asking elon to step down. Hopefully, good news comes in 3s.
