if you havent seen my previous post, im not bulgarian, but I really wanted to draw the traditional clothing because I find it beautiful. I think bulgarian culture is very interesting. I took inspiration the most from the dress on the second slide. I'm also aware that the hairstyle isn't the most accurate, but I'm drawing a given character, so I can't really change it. 😀

  1. It’s is accurate but keep in mind we don’t have the habit of grabbing the skirt while dancing and lifting it to the side.

  2. Depending on the region in Bulgaria we have different colours and patterns on them (7 different types ). If you are interested you can google and check them out each type has different meanings

  3. contrary to popular belief bulgarians actually have 5 fingers like normal people instead of 6 but other than that its accurate enough

  4. Hello! Dress seems good and accurate. Girl lifting the dress like that is not. Also, the hairstyle does not look traditional. And do you realize the girl has 6 fingers on her left hand?

  5. The back apron is missing. It’s there in your inspirational photo. From the sides and the back it looks like a wide skirt, it’s just not really a skirt, it’s tied at the front and the split is covered by the (slightly longer) front apron. Here [https://www.balkanfolk.eu/jenska-severnyashka-nosiya.php](https://www.balkanfolk.eu/jenska-severnyashka-nosiya.php) you can get an idea of how it works. Otherwise, very cool.

(But yeah, don’t get the poor girl’s behind covered just by the long white shirt, lol.)

  6. Bulgarian who is non traditional clothing expert here…
    Color checks out.
