Ah lads, this little island of ours is fucking class on a day like today.

Took the day away from breaking myself for money and just walk around Dublin by myself. Best day I've had in a long, long time.

Fuck the begrudgers, it is what we make of it.

  1. That’s the spirit! Enjoy yourself before the Trump Tariff Tsunami overwhelms us all.

  2. Looks like a fine day.

I must say, I do enjoy a weekday off. Sometimes take one if I’ve a job or two to get done. Maybe town in the morning with a nice brunch, get a few jobs done. Then afternoon tidying up the garden or something, and a chill quiet drink around 3/4, no phones etc just sitting out in the tidied garden with a cold one.

  3. I do like a pint in Fidelity when it’s quiet. I like a pint in there when it’s busy too, but quiet ones are decent.

  4. I sit on one of those benches every few weeks with a cigar like that myself! Absolute bliss

  5. I spent the last two days in Dublin, just sitting on the grass in st Stephen’s green, having an ice cream and relaxing. The sun really makes a world of a difference. Glad you enjoyed your trip down to Dublin

  6. Christ it’s refreshing to see that. Didn’t know I needed that today. Grma

  7. This is my favourite kind of post. It actually puts me in a good mood to see things like this rather than the usual depressing shite!
Glad you had a nice day!

  8. I’d be disappointed with that ~~toasted~~ hot bread sandwich…but maybe it’s just because I’m still in work and jealous

  9. Didn’t open the photo and just say a man blowing his nose. Yeah, class.

  10. I used to work in the Offices of the DPP on Infirmary Road and one of my greatest pleasures was taking a walk in The Phoenix Park at lunchtime to get away from the awful case files I had to deal with every day.

Other great places in Dublin to get away form it all are:
