Hoi!
Im using NordVpn for couple of months now (switched from Surf shark for better speed) and it was working perfectly till yesterday.
I watch Max in Switzerland using my polish account and VPN for Poland or Portugal(I found out it was working little better with same movies and language)
Since yesterday I get the error that I'm using VPN and can't watch anything on TV and phone.
I guess that Max updated their app…
Any tips how to fix it? Should Nord update their app to fix it?

  1. It’s a cat and mouse game between VPN Providers and Streaming services. You can’t fix anything, it’s on the VPN Provider, until the service catches them again and the circle starts again.

  2. Off to the high seas my friend. Companies make it so difficult to buy their content that you’re better served getting an eye pad and a parrot.

  3. Same setup as you and also no longer works (neither iOS, nor tvOS).
I get the crackdown on password sharing, but I still don’t understand what they can gain by actively fighting VPNs. The only possible outcome is people being forced to cancel their subscriptions, which I’m about to do.

  4. Get “Stremio” and install the plugin “Torrentio”. A little Googling will help you out.

  5. Don’t use a VPN, use a Smart DNS service instead which is probably cheaper and much for efficient for geo-unlocking content.

[https://www.getflix.com.au](https://www.getflix.com.au) is really good. You can configure it to unlock different streaming channels to different countries. Works fine for me with HBO / Max.

Best to configure the DNS on your device, e.g. TV or PC / Laptop etc vs at router level.

  6. I use ExpressVPN and it’s been working.
    🤞🏻

  7. have you tried disconnecting and connecting again a few times?

I sometimes have to do that to when play RTS doesn’t allow me to connect. Play RTS seem to ‘know’ a few of the swiss ip addresses but most are just fine.

  8. I’ve just used it with NordVPN without problems. Sometimes it doesn’t like a certain server, but normally no problems.

  9. Other sites can detect VPN and block/redirect you. E. G Levi’s.
Anyway, the Orange Man led us to no longer give hard earned euros to his country.
A short detox period and we will then be happy with stuff from Europe and other countries.😎

  10. Paying for a subscription to be able to access and pay for another subscription is peak capitalism 😂 They don’t want to put the effort to give you their services but you still put the effort to give them your money. Torrent downloads are legal here in Switzerland BTW.
