  1. Big victory for korean constitution. Thank God for these judges. Shout out to the national assembly members, left or right, who voted for impeachment. Fuck the slimy ppp members who voted against this, hope they are purged in the polls

  2. Yep. He had to go. Martial law and all that bullshit… As a Korean, I welcome this judgement.

  3. He was impeached in December, he was just removed from office

  4. 8:0 Impeachment
Supreme Court denied all the claims that the president made

  5. Looking at the rest of the world hold people in high places accountable (Bolsonaro, Le Pen, Yoon)….. wtf are we doing, America?

  6. I was working in my room when I heard my (Korean) parents yelling and whistling from downstairs. They’ve been sleeping with the news running every night ever since his impeachment in December. It’s massive news for South Koreans, since they can finally move past this egotistical mess and start actually working toward making the country a little more livable.

  7. Yay! Finally!

This has took so long… So long, my politics-induced depression!

  8. Of course it is. If this was goes ‘well’, half of parliament could have been dumped in concentration camp. So he used the fact that he failed as a defense. Pathetic.

  9. How come every other country gets this right except the United States?

  10. And the American MAGA Right will not take any notes if Trump tries some bullshit like this.

  11. > As the President of all citizens, the respondent had a duty to transcend partisan support and unify the national community. However, he violated this duty by mobilizing military and police forces to undermine the authority of constitutional institutions such as the National Assembly and infringing upon the fundamental rights of the people. In doing so, he abandoned his responsibility to uphold the Constitution and gravely betrayed the trust of the sovereign citizens of the Republic of Korea.

    > Ultimately, the respondent’s unconstitutional and unlawful actions constitute a severe breach of law that cannot be tolerated from the perspective of constitutional order, as they amount to a betrayal of the public trust. Given the significant negative impact and far-reaching consequences of his violations on the constitutional order, the benefit of upholding the Constitution by removing him from office far outweighs the national loss incurred by his dismissal.

    > Accordingly, with the unanimous agreement of all justices, we hereby render the following ruling:

    > As this is an impeachment case, we will confirm the time of the ruling. The current time is 11:22 AM.

    > Ruling: The respondent, President Yoon Suk-yeol, is removed from office.

    8-0 LET’S GOOOO

  12. Great news. The guy used the military in an attempt to take over the country. He needed to go or the democracy was gonna be a thing of the past for them.

  13. As a Korean, I’m unbelievably happy ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

  14. Great news for Korea for fighting back against heinous leaders.

I wonder what it would look like in America if judges could trigger impeachments based on constitutional violations. Maybe Trump wouldn’t treat the judicial branch like a punching bag then.
