Some of my favorite photos from my time on your little island. Understandably you folk are right to criticize some things about contemporary Ireland-housing shortage, cost of living crisis, etc- but I love your country and dream of making a life there one day!

  2. Beautiful pictures, thank you. And a lovely sentiment also. The pictures of Cobh have a real San Francisco vibe somehow (at least to me). I pray we can get over our resistance to greater density, and ‘nimby-ism’ so that we can both provide the housing we need, and preserve as much of countryside as possible.

  4. One pet peeve: there are between 600-700,000 islands on this planet and Ireland is bigger than all bar 19 of them.

    As islands go, on planet Earth anyway, Ireland is a large island.

  18. It’s a beautiful island when the sun is out, the problem is the “when”. 2 days of summer is about all you get here. People make fun of the yellow UFO whenever we have the privilege to see it.
