A lawsuit decades in the making. It took DECADES to get a court to tell Exon to pay. And they’re going to appeal. Exxon has more than enough money that they can drag this on for another decade. It’ll get reduced for the sake of “the poor, poor investors,” and then Exxon will continue killing our planet. If you think an oil company is sweating this decision, you’re naive. Hell, 740 million is just a fraction of their revenue. This is just the cost of doing business to them.
