The two leaders are expected to discuss US tariffs on Israel, the war in Gaza and Iran’s rapidly growing nuclear program.

If the visit does take place, Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader to meet with Trump since he announced plans to impose reciprocal tariffs on dozens of nations.

Imports from Israel will be hit with a 17% levy under the president’s plan.

Netanyahu will likely attempt to negotiate a deal to remove the new tariffs on the Jewish state.

The White House and the Israeli prime minister’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Israel, with which the US had a $7.4 billion trade deficit last year, was slapped with the steep tariff despite being a key US ally and major recipient of American military aid.

“Israel steals a lot of intellectual property from, for example, the pharmaceutical manufacturers in this country,” an administration official said ahead of Trump’s announcement.

Israel desperately tried to avoid getting hit with the new tariffs by cancelling all levies on US imports earlier this week — one day before Trump, 78, unveiled the new rates.

Israel’s economy minister and finance committee need to sign off on the move before it can be implemented.

Trump reportedly invited Netanyahu, 75, to the White House during a phone call on Thursday, during which the two leaders discussed the newly announced tariffs.

After the call, the president told reporters aboard Air Force One that the Israeli prime minister would soon be visiting Washington.

“Maybe even next week,” the commander in chief teased.

Axios reports that Netanyahu’s team and Trump aides were both “surprised” by the remark and put together plans for the April 7 trip on Friday.

Netanyahu’s last visit to the White House was in February.

Bibi gifted Trump a “golden pager” during the visit, in a nod to the Israeli operation last year that saw thousands of pagers used by Hezbollah terrorists explode, killing more than 30 people and injuring thousands.
