  1. Less irritating than getting bashed by giant backpacks that people seem to be incapable of removing before getting on the tube.

  2. Also no one wearing woodies or shorts or gym gear to work.

  3. Yes, my dad had a briefcase in the eighties and his office was in the direction they’re heading.

  4. Those briefcases contained their sandwiches and a newspaper to read on the train. Literally nothing else.

    Source: My dad.

  5. *“We are currently clean on opsec”*

A GCHQ nightmare. Who’s going to index and search all those briefcases?..

  6. *My pain is constant and sharp, and I do not hope for a better world for anyone*

  7. That must have been terrible for posture and back pain.

  8. Does anyone from the seventies remember a short film shown in cinemas called The Waterloo Bridge Handicap with Leonard Rossiter?

  9. Man Alive!

I wonder what these people are doing in 2025.

  10. A crowd flowed over London Bridge, so many./ I had not thought death had undone so many.

  11. For me the most impressive thing is how little the background has changed – apart of maybe the Shard it looks pretty familiar

  12. In the early 90s a Samsonite briefcase was the epitome of sophistication.

  13. Compared to now:

    Lots more suits and ties

    Proportionally more men

Seems a bit older on average.

    Much whiter

  14. Weirdest thing about this is I only see 2 POC 🤷‍♂️

  15. Not a mobile phone in sight, everyone just living in the moment

  16. Just running the business, you know hiring, firing and perspiring. Going public in April. Usernames. And I’m overseeing the edit on my first short. Honda are very interested.

  17. also the people with nothing…

nowadays weh have almost everyting we need on our phones.

  18. So it was the 1980s when the reign of terror of those stairs in front of 1 London Bridge )the building in the background) began!
