Video call with the fam later, then I’ll probably just be on GTAO after for the rest of the day, minus laundry and a whizz round with the hoover
Coxing 3 crews of Cornish Pilot gig rowers in Brixham harbour
Well there’s stuff that needs doing, and then there’s sitting in the sun with the Steamdeck and watching football.
Taking the pup up to an enclosed field for the first time, can’t wait to see him charge about like a nutter.

Need to finish what was started yesterday. This was the end result of a full 6 hours trying to install laminate flooring for the first time. So, **so** many false starts, and mistakes made. Hoping today will go better, and we can treat yesterday as the necessary learning day.
Husband is going out mountain biking with friends later so I’ll be baking as our dog is 11 tomorrow so need to make his cake! Roast this afternoon to use the last of the turkey and hopefully the Reddit Sunday night quiz is on later as not done it for weeks and fancy a go
Washing bed clothes and airing mattresses. Might reorganise the wardrobe in preparation for spring proper
i plan on having a “me” bath with all the fixings and a good book at some point
online date with the S/O
do some finance maths for the month
Mother Dearest still has yet to decide to cook the chicken for roast or have Taco Boats.
On Sundays I play badminton with some good friends. We’re a really close group of guys and always have such a good time. Manchester derby later! Tricky one to predict.
Quiet day after visiting family yesterday. I like people-ing but I also enjoy my own company. Might make a start on clearing and sorting the kitchen cupboards out too. That’ll help take my mind off tomorrow’s dental appointment. That feels like a never ending marathon
Off to a meal to celebrate my sisters impending baby later- I asked her what she wanted from “the baby Santa” so I could buy her something useful and she said she didn’t want something useful, so the baby has a capybara teething toy to use when she’s older.
I also have to tidy my home office- I’ve been 100% based in the office for the last 4 months so my office has become a dumping ground for clean washing that I could be bothered to put away, and that is now a current-me issue to deal with.
Washing the car, a nice walk in the sunshine by the river and some food shopping / Sunday roast cooking.
Quite fancy making proper hash browns, so lots of potato grating is on the cards.
My wife has just started decorating the playroom before she has finished the living room. I’m not sure where I’m supposed to sit, and I really like sitting because I’m still recovering from 2 broken legs.
I visited out local alpaca farm a few weeks ago and had the theme tune from Nuzzle and Scratch in my head for ages!
I have aome errands to run for the charity i volunteer for and then im gonna go to the beach to look for sea glass as yesterday’s underweasl did all her housework and it’s Mr underweasl’s turn to deal with resident teen’s activities
Moving the sheep to the orchard, the chickens to the hay meadow and the geese to the allotment quarter. To break it all up, mid-day we’re popping out for some cake and tea with my MIL.
Tonight is co-op game night with mates online, been doing it for 15 years now, beer and banter 🙂
Watching my son play footy and then attempting to jet wash the lean to with my new karcher telescopic lance thing with scrubber 😂 I’m going to be up a ladder trying to clean something 3.5m away, it’s going to be fun.
I’m regretting getting up to watch the F1 at 0530. Now I’m debating sleeping or gardening.
I was really looking forward to going for a long walk but woke up with a sore throat. Not quite feeling it today and a bit pissed off with it. On the plus side I am rewatching The Order on Netflix to get some inspiration for a game.
Woke up early to watch F1 and got a boring race in return.
I’ll sleep a bit longer.
Going to big sainsburys this morning as my husband and I are going to Prague next week. Our daughter is going to her grandparents and our whippet is going to a boarder. Need to get enough stuff to last them for the week!
This afternoon, going to see my nan as my grandad died recently. Then this evening my husband is running a 5K so our daughter and I will go and watch.
Me and my girlfriend are on day 3 of moving from a flat to a house (in the same city) so absolutely drained. Still got some stuff at the flat to move, still gotta clean some of it, still got to put up a wardrobe in the new place.
Sydney checking in from the future. Today’s an absolute banger, team. You’re gonna love it. Woke up early but still got a lie in (daylight savings last night so we got a free hour). Watched an old episode of Stargate SG-1 in bed with a great cup of coffee, then a big walk round a national park and off to the big shopping centre to get the car cleaned, have a Chinese, and check out the middle aisle of dreams at Aldi. It was tents, camping equipment, snuggies, and massive tellys in case you’re curious. Almost bought a 70 inch TV for 630 dollarydoos but some old dude who was passing told me the same one was at Kogan for 450. Blinder.
Back home, just had a massive bath, and now I’m chilling with a book while the husband watches RuPaul season 76. Then we’re gonna watch that new James MacAvoy movie on Netflix with a picky tea while the Sunday evening dread sets in.
Absolutely cracking start to Autumn, and it’s only nearly bloody Easter innit? I can almost justify a massive chocolate rabbit. 10/10 Sunday.
Driving to Southwold later for some fish and chips with the wife. Our favourite chippy burnt down a year or so ago, and they finally re-opend last weekend. Let’s hope it’s quieter there today.
On holiday in Morocco for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Today my husband is going for a facial at the spa and I’m going to sit in the sun and have a Caesar salad and a vino or two!
Early start to do some gardening, had weetabix and a cup of tea, cricket training and off to see the in laws in the afternoon.
Clay shooting with some mates. Afternoon dog walk
So my AO delivery of my new cooker I set for 7am to 7pm as I know I live the furthest from their delivery place near Glasgow so I got up at 0630 and it was here just over an hour later. Now just waiting on my handyman pal to install it for me.
First meal to put in to it tonight? I was thinking of a fresh pizza from Morrisons as not had one in ages!
First night in a week that I’m getting a decent sleep, and her phone buzzes and wakes me up!
Allegedly, it was in DND mode. Argh!
Did anyone else think the larma on the left was flexing his bicep to the camera?
Lazy day for us, I think. Got some washing to hang out, a bit of tidying to do, and then I will probably sit in the garden with a book 🙂
The usual garden tidy up the tip..woooo. Finishing off hutch and run to welcome 2 guinea pigs later this month from a sanctuary, then roast dinner for family, then prep for school in the morning…and it’s sunny! What’s that, cheeky wine at lunch…
Been up since 6AM, worried about the working week and multiple thoughts running through my head, I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. I could go on a rant but I won’t as it’s not “Thursdays Complaint” thread.
The weather is lovely so I’m going to go for a run soon and make breakfast after I’m back. I’ve got a few chores so will do those.
Aside from that I think a lazy Sunday is on the cards. That will consist of some gaming, some reading and watching the football later this afternoon. That’s the plan anyway.
Have a good one everyone!
Going to try a new fried chicken place for lunch, finish off some knitting and generally having a lazy day.
Been at work since 0355. 1 hour 25mins left to go 👌
My plan yesterday was to be very careful with myself, and apart from doing a bit too much in the kitchen, I think I did OK. This morning, I squatted down to sort a plant out and managed to collapse in a heap, twisting my hip, knee, and ankle on the way down.
No matter. Old people with painful bits have been the core audience in Anglican churches for decades. If they can show up every week for a guy they have never met, I can show up once for my brother, who is the most dependable person in my life. This is a huge thing for him, and I am not going to make anything about myself.
Well, nothing about myself until the Late Thread. Then I will surely make everything about myself and how I was really the star of the show for being so gracious and pretending I wasn’t in pain and everything.
I’m going to ride around Kielder water.
After being fine for 24 hours, littlest has started puking again. She seems more out of sorts than yesterday too, so I’ve set up a bed on the sofa with sick bowl, water, tissue etc. Husband is concerned that I’m at the point of burnout (not with sick kid, just with ridiculous work situation last couple of terms, no real breaks, my own health issues etc) so asked me to go for a break, and when I said no because sick kid, has invented a need for more supplies and asked me to go and get them “and stop for a coffee while you’re there”. I know full well what he’s doing of course, but I love him for it.
So, a quick trip to town, pick up some electrolyte powders, I’ll probably pop to the charity shop and see if there are any books the girls might like, grab a takeaway mocha, then come home and sit with captain pukey. She seems to have perked up again in the time I’ve been typing this so hopefully she’s heading in the right direction this time.
Supposedly, tidying and decorating.
In reality: reading whilst the child watches TV
I need to get on with jobs though as I’m hoping to get on the wife’s good side so I can go kayaking next Saturday.
