I'm from Aachen, Germany and visited Prague this Weekend. First of all, Prague is absolutely fantastic! It was total fun!
While driving through the countryside, I saw these eagles, everyone having a different picture in it. This one has a nice deer and dandylion motf, but I also saw one depicting an ufo!

What is this?

  1. We’ve had this question before. They are advertisment billboards for Mattoni mineral water. A law was passed few years ago that banned billboards from being too close to highways, so these were repainted and “repurposed” to artworks. Everyone knows it’s an ad, but in the eyes of the law, it isn’t.

  2. They started as advertising but that’s against the law. So now everyone knows they’re Mattoni eagles but it’s not advertising their products.

  3. That I doubt is and most definitely is PTÁK MATOŇÁK. At least that it what I would yell when we would be riding inside with me in the car when I were little.

  4. These are originally advertising billboards for Mattoni mineral water, but after similar billboards were banned from roadsides, the company had them repainted by various artists. The name of the company is no longer listed there, but here everyone knows what it is about.

  5. >dandylion motif

  6. When you see these eagles, it means you’re back home….
